Behind 'Artofkaa'
I'm Kriszta Arányi alias 'Artofkaa', a painter, illustrator and a lifetime learner visual and concept artist.
I have 20+ years of experience as a graphic designer and I've completed my Visual Representation BA in 2017 at Metropolitan University, Budapest, Hungary. I'm specialized in illustration, graphic design, concept art and 2d game art.
My preferred tools are mostly digital, but I often mix traditional art techniques with digital methods in my paintings. My goal is to make something beautiful and unique each time, often through experimentation with different materials.
About my art
In my art I like to recreate the world in my own chaotic-eclectic style, taking inspiration from various usual and unusual sources: from nature, science, psychology, western and eastern culture, art, & philosophy, mythology, politics and dark comedies to sci-fi, fantasy, post-apocalypse, occultism, magical thinking, dreams, ufo and cryptid anecdotes, stories about altered states of consciousness and secondhand psychonaut tales. - You never know what could be possibly useful later from this mixture and I love when this pure chaos gives birth to some kind of order and meaning between my hands in the process of creation.
Everything from the Golden Age of Illustration, Symbolism, Ukiyo-e, Japonisme, Art Deco, Mid-century Modern and Retrofuturism, Sci-fi, Psychedelic art and every kind of -punk art from steampunk to cyberpunk is very close to my heart.
